SO THE THE REASON WE WERE COMING TO YOU TODAY IS THAT THE LOCAL PARTNERS WANT TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PURSUE FUNDING THROUGH THE SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL FUNDING CYCLE IN 2025. LAST YEAR, FOR THE LOCAL PARTNERS TO BE ELIGIBLE, WE WOULD HAVE HAD TO APPROVE THE PLAN BY APRIL 30TH. WE HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED AN UPDATE ON THAT INFORMATION, BUT FOR NOW, WE'RE PROCEEDING WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT WE NEED TO GET THE PLAN APPROVED BY APRIL 30TH. AND SO FOR THAT REASON, WE HAVE PREPARED A SHORTER, CONCISE VERSION OF THE BROWARD SAFETY ACTION PLAN. AND AS WE GO THROUGH THIS, I WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THAT THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION. THERE WILL BE WORK GOING ON IN THE NEXT SIX MONTHS AFTER THIS MARCH APRIL MEETING CYCLE, AND FROM THERE WE WILL COME BACK TO YOU WITH MORE INFORMATION. SO THAT'S JUST A PREFACE FOR THIS. THE PURPOSE OF THE SAFE STREETS AND ROAD FALLS GRANT TO DEVELOP THE SAFETY ACTION PLAN WAS TO DEVELOP A DATA DRIVEN PLAN SO THAT WE'RE WORKING WITH THE DATA THAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE. RECOGNIZING THAT THAT THAT DATA IS AS GOOD AS IT IS. THERE'S SOME IMPERFECTIONS WITH IT. FOR EXAMPLE, WE ASSUME THAT THE CRASH DATA PROBABLY UNDER-REPORTS PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE [00:05:03] CRASHES, BUT THAT'S THE DATA THAT WE HAVE. IT'S AN ACTION ORIENTED PLAN. THE IDEA IS TO NOT JUST COME UP WITH GOOD IDEAS, BUT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THEM IMPLEMENTED. AND THEN THE OVERALL GOAL IS TO REDUCE DEATH AND SERIOUS INJURY ON OUR ROADWAYS DOWN TO ZERO. I MENTIONED BEFORE WE RECEIVED A GRANT, $5 MILLION. ONE OF THE LARGEST GRANT AWARDS IN THE COUNTRY. WE PARTNERED WITH BROWARD COUNTY. BROWARD MPO IS ADMINISTERING THE GRANT, AND BROWARD COUNTY IS PROVIDING A LOCAL MATCH OF IN-KIND SERVICES ON THREE DIFFERENT PLANS. AND YOU SAW A FEW WEEKS A FEW MONTHS AGO ABOUT THE LOW STRESS, MULTI-MODAL MOBILITY PLAN. THAT'S ONE OF THOSE. AND THEN THE OUTCOMES ARE TO HAVE AN ACTION PLAN THAT FIRST HAS A GOAL WITH MILESTONES FOR WHEN WE WANT TO REDUCE DEATH AND SERIOUS INJURY ON OUR ROADWAYS, WE WANT TO IDENTIFY PROJECTS AND PREPARE THEM FOR FUNDING AND IMPLEMENTATION, AND THEN ALSO IDENTIFY POLICIES AND PROGRAMS THAT WILL HELP IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF OUR ROADWAYS. WE SENT OUT A LINK TO THE SAFETY ACTION PLAN DRAFT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH, AND WE DID RECEIVE SOME COMMENTS, AND I'LL COMMENT A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT LATER. BUT TO REVIEW WITH YOU, THE PLAN OUTLINE FOLLOWS THE EIGHT ELEMENTS THAT ARE ON THE SELF CERTIFICATION ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST. THERE ARE EIGHT COMPONENTS THAT AN ELIGIBLE SAFETY ACTION PLAN HAS TO TO MEET. AND SO WE HAVE A CROSSWALK THERE THAT LETS OUR REVIEWERS AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL AND LOCAL KNOW HOW WE'RE RESPONDING TO EACH OF THESE COMPONENTS. AND I'M GOING TO GO THROUGH THOSE BRIEFLY ONE SLIDE FOR EACH OF THOSE TO, TO FAMILIARIZE YOU WITH WHAT'S GOING ON THERE. THE LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT WE NEEDED TO HAVE A LOCAL LEADERS, THIS IN THIS CASE, OUR MPO BOARD APPROVED THE SAFETY ACTION PLAN. THAT'S THE LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT AND ALSO HAVE A GOAL A GOAL SETTING. SO WE'RE LOOKING AT THE YEAR 2050 AS THE YEAR TO STRIVE TO ACHIEVE ZERO DEATHS AND FATALITIES ON OUR ROADWAYS. THIS IS IN LINE WITH SOME OF THE GOALS THAT ARE AT A NATIONAL LEVEL AND WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND REGIONALLY HERE, AND WE RECOGNIZE THAT IT WON'T ALL HAPPEN AT ONCE. AND SO THE CHART ON THE RIGHT THERE SHOWS THAT IT'S INCREMENTAL AND A HOLISTIC APPROACH. SO THERE ARE SMALLER IMPROVEMENTS THAT CAN HELP REDUCE THE DEATH. THERE'S LARGE SCALE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS STRATEGIES TO REDUCE SPEED. THERE PROBABLY WILL BE MAYBE SOME CHANGES IN NUMBER OF PEOPLE WALKING AND BICYCLING. SO THAT CAN ALSO HAVE AN IMPACT. AND THEN SOME TECHNOLOGIES CAN HELP BRING OUR NUMBERS DOWN TO ZERO. SECOND COMPONENT IS A PLANNING STRUCTURE THAT WE NEEDED TO HAVE DIVERSE BOARD OR DIVERSE COMMITTEE, REPRESENTING VARIOUS INTERESTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY TO HELP GUIDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PLAN. AND SO WE DEVELOPED TWO COMMITTEES. ONE IS A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP THAT PROVIDES DIRECTION AT A MORE GRANULAR LEVEL, AND THEY MET MONTHLY AND ARE CONTINUING TO MEET. AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE AN OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE THAT MEETS QUARTERLY, AND IT PROVIDES HIGH LEVEL GUIDANCE. AND TWO OF OUR CAC MEMBERS, MAX AND AND OUR CHAIR, ARE ON THAT COMMITTEE. SO WE APPRECIATE THEIR INPUT ON THAT. BUT I ALSO WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THESE COMMITTEES REPRESENT A BROADER GROUP THAN JUST THE TYPICAL TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONALS THAT WE TALK TO. IT INCLUDES COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS, PRIVATE SECTOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, A DIVERSITY OF VOICES. THE NEXT ELEMENT IS THE SAFETY ANALYSIS. SO WE LOOKED AT THE DATA THAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE THROUGH SIGNAL FOUR, WHICH IS THE CRASH REPORTING SYSTEM THAT THE STATE COMPILES, AND USE THAT TO DEVELOP A HIGH INJURY NETWORK THAT SHOWS WHERE THE GREATEST FREQUENCY OF DEATH AND SERIOUS INJURY CRASHES, THE CASES KILLED AND SERIOUS INJURY CRASHES ARE OCCURRING. ABOUT 77% OF THE CASES OVER A FIVE YEAR PERIOD WERE OCCURRING ON ABOUT 6% OF OUR ROADS. OVER HALF OF THOSE ARE STATE FACILITIES, ABOUT A QUARTER OR COUNTY, AND THEN A LITTLE UNDER 20% ARE LOCAL ROADS. WE ALSO DEVELOPED A HIGH RISK NETWORK, ROADWAYS THAT AREN'T NECESSARILY WITNESSING OR HAVING THE DEATH AND SERIOUS INJURY CRASHES OCCUR, BUT DO HAVE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROADWAYS THAT ARE RECEIVING THAT. AND SO WE CREATED A SEPARATE MAP AND BROUGHT THAT TOGETHER AND APPLIED SOME DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS TO THEN PRIORITIZE THOSE CORRIDORS AND IDENTIFY 11 THAT WE MOVED FORWARD FOR CORRIDOR CONCEPT DESIGN. PUBLIC OUTREACH WILL BE DEVELOPING COST ESTIMATES AND SCOPES OF WORK, AND TRYING TO GET THOSE INTO OUR 2050 MTP FOR FUNDING OUR METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN. IN ADDITION, WITH THE SAFETY ANALYSIS, WE LOOKED AT EIGHT SPECIFIC FOCUS AREAS. THIS THIS PART OF THE SCOPE WE DEVELOPED WITH BROWARD COUNTY TO SAY WE NEED TO LOOK MORE CLOSELY AT SAFETY AROUND SCHOOLS, SAFETY AT RAIL CROSSINGS, IN BETWEEN THE CROSSINGS, SAFETY RELATED TO LIGHTING, SAFETY RELATED TO MID-BLOCK CROSSINGS. SO EACH OF THESE DIFFERENT AREAS, WE'VE DEVELOPED SPECIFIC FOCUS ACTION PLANS THAT HAVE RESULTED IN RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROJECTS, POLICIES AND PROGRAMS. SO AS WE TALK ABOUT POLICIES AND PROGRAMS AND PROCESSES, THIS IS ANOTHER COMPONENT THAT WE NEEDED TO ADDRESS TO BE AN ELIGIBLE SAFETY PLAN. WE HIGHLIGHT THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT IT THROUGH A SAFE SYSTEM APPROACH THAT IS, AGAIN, A HOLISTIC VIEW, THAT IT'S NOT ONE FACTOR, BUT IT'S A VARIETY OF FACTORS. SO ALL THESE THINGS IN COMBINATION CAN MAKE A SAFER SYSTEM. ANOTHER COMPONENT IS STRATEGY AND PROJECT SELECTION. SO I MENTIONED HOW OUR OUR CORRIDOR PRIORITIZATION HELPED US FIGURE OUT 11 PRIORITY CORRIDORS. AND WE ALSO USED OUR SAFETY ACTION PLANS TO IDENTIFY SOME ADDITIONAL POTENTIAL PROJECTS. AND SO WE CAME UP WITH SOME RECOMMENDATIONS IN ADDITION TO WHAT'S ALREADY HAPPENING, AND ARE LOOKING TO SEE IF WE CAN GET THOSE PROGRAMED AND FUNDED. WE WANTED TO BE SURE TO IDENTIFY WITH THE PROJECTS FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES. SO GOING THROUGH THE BROWARD MPOS, METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN FUNDING IS ONE WAY. THERE'S FEDERAL GRANTS AVAILABLE. THERE'S LOCAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLANS, COUNTY SURTAX, MAYBE PRIVATE DEVELOPER CONTRIBUTIONS OR INVESTMENTS WHEN THEY DO PROJECTS. THERE'S A VARIETY OF WAYS TO MOVE FORWARD. AND THEN ALSO BE CLEAR ABOUT WHO IS IN CHARGE OF HAVING THESE PROJECTS MOVE FORWARD AND, AND BE IMPLEMENTED. NEXT ELEMENT NEXT TO LAST IS ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION, MAKING SURE THAT WE'RE DOING OUTREACH TO OUR COMMUNITIES. SO WE HAD A FOUR PHASE APPROACH. WE STARTED OFF LAST YEAR WITH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH, WITH SOCIAL MEDIA, WITH INFORMATION ABOUT SAFETY, AND THEN ALSO HINTS OF HOW PEOPLE CAN WALK OR DRIVE OR BICYCLE MORE SAFELY. STARTING IN AUGUST SEPTEMBER, WE BEGAN THE FIRST ROUND OF PUBLIC MEETINGS THAT WERE TIED TO THE 11 PRIORITY CORRIDORS. AROUND THEN, WE ALSO DID AN ANALYSIS FOR STEP THREE AND FIGURED OUT WHAT'S WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR, WHAT'S WORKING, WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? EASTBOUND ON THE BRIDGE. THE THIRD PORTION WE'RE LOOKING AT IS STIRLING ROAD AND STATE ROAD SEVEN. REALLY AT THE INTERSECTION THERE IN THE EFFECTS FROM THE PROPOSED INTERCHANGE. AND HERE YOU CAN SEE A PICTURE OF OF THE INTERCHANGE NORTHBOUND STATE ROAD SEVEN APPROACH. SECOND SO TALKING ABOUT PURPOSE AND NEED. SO PURPOSE IN NEED. WE SEE IT AS FOUR AREAS THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT FOR THE STUDY. FIRST IS ENHANCING FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE ACCESS. ON THAT AREA OF TURNPIKE, THE EXISTING INTERCHANGES ARE AT GRIFFIN ROAD AND HOLLYWOOD. AND THOSE GET QUITE CONGESTED AND VERY BUSY IN THOSE AREAS. AND SO THIS WOULD BE A WAY TO HELP RELIEVE THOSE AREAS OF THOSE EXISTING INTERCHANGES BY PROVIDING THIS PROPOSED INTERCHANGE. SECOND IS HAVING ACCOMMODATING THE TRANSPORTATION DEMAND HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN, SO I'LL CLICK IT AWAY. LOOKING AT TRANSPORTATION DEMAND OUT IN 2050, HOW WE CAN ACCOMMODATE THAT. ALSO IMPROVING TRAVEL TIME RELIABILITY FOR THE COMMUNITY ON, ON FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE. ALSO WE SEE BENEFITS AND HOW WE CAN BENEFIT STATE ROAD SEVEN WHICH GETS CONGESTED IN THIS AREA. AND THEN FOURTH IS IMPROVING EMERGENCY RESPONSE. FLORIDA TURNPIKE HAS EMERGENCY EVACUATION ROADWAY. AND SO THIS IS ANOTHER WAY FOR THE COMMUNITY IF THERE'S AN EMERGENCY EVENT TO PROVIDE THAT. SO THIS IS WHERE I'LL TALK ABOUT THE THE ALTERNATIVE OVERVIEW OF THE INTERCHANGE. THIS IS WHAT'S SHOWN OUT THERE IN EXISTING CONDITION. NORTH IS UP ON THIS SCREEN AND YOU'LL SEE STERLING ROAD LEFT TO RIGHT AND TURNPIKE IS NORTH TO SOUTH. SO I JUST WANT TO MENTION A FEW THINGS BEFORE I SHOW THE PROPOSED. ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE OF THE INTERSECTION, REALLY THE INTERCHANGE THAT WE'RE SHOWING THIS IS AN EXISTING PROPERTY THAT WOULD BE IMPACTED. THERE'S NO HOUSING OR COMMERCIAL ON THAT SIDE. AND THE SOUTHEAST SIDE, THERE IS AN EXISTING CHURCH THERE. WITH THE CURRENT CONCEPT, IT WOULD HAVE AN IMPACT TO THAT CHURCH AND [00:55:02] HAVE A POSSIBLE RELOCATION. ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE, THERE ARE TWO OTHER CHURCHES. THOSE BUILDINGS WOULD STAY, BUT THEIR ACCESS WOULD CHANGE A LITTLE BIT. AND THERE MIGHT BE A PARTIAL RIGHT OF WAY COMPONENT TO THOSE. OTHERWISE THE OTHER AREAS ARE PRETTY MINOR RIGHT OF WAY, BUT I DO WANT TO MENTION THE IMPACTS THOSE PROPERTIES FOR SHOWING THE PROPOSED. IT'S HARDER TO SEE WHEN YOU SEE THE PROPOSED. SO I'M GOING TO WALK THROUGH THIS IS THIS IS A RENDERING OF THE INTERCHANGE AND WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE OF OUR CURRENT CONCEPT. AND THIS IS AN OVERALL VIEW. AND THEN I'LL WALK INTO DIFFERENT SPOTS AS WE ZOOM IN. SO I'M JUST GOING TO WALK THROUGH EACH OF THESE NUMBERS AND SHOW THE MOVEMENTS. SO NUMBER ONE WOULD BE A SOUTHBOUND OFF RAMP FROM FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE TO STERLING ROAD. NUMBER TWO WOULD BE A WESTBOUND STERLING TO SOUTHBOUND ON RAMP. NUMBER THREE WOULD BE A WESTBOUND STERLING TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP. NUMBER FOUR WOULD BE AN EASTBOUND STERLING TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP NUMBER FIVE WOULD BE A NORTHBOUND OFF RAMP FROM TURNPIKE TO STERLING. NUMBER SIX, WHAT WE'RE CALLING A NEW SEMINOLE WAY ACCESS. THIS IS A WAY TO HELP ALLEVIATE THAT, THAT REGIONAL TRAFFIC GOING TO THOSE FACILITIES TO GETTING TO STATE ROAD SEVEN AND ALLEVIATE STERLING ROAD AS WELL. AND THEN SEVEN DUE TO THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE INTERCHANGE, IT WOULD REQUIRE A BRIDGE REPLACEMENT OF STERLING ROAD OVER FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE. TWO THINGS TO MENTION, AS WELL AS PART OF THE IMPROVEMENTS HERE ON STIRLING ROAD FROM NORTH 64TH AVENUE, YOU SEE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO STATE ROAD SEVEN, WE WOULD ACTUALLY PROPOSE AS WELL, A SHARED USE PATH IN THAT AREA. SO IT WOULD BE A 12 FOOT SHARED USE PATH. CURRENTLY, THERE'S JUST SIDEWALKS ON BOTH SIDES. YOU'LL SEE A TYPICAL SECTION I SHOW LATER, BUT IT'S KIND OF GOOD TO SEE THE OVERVIEW HERE. CURRENTLY THERE'S NO BIKE LANES, THERE'S JUST A SIDEWALK. SO IT WOULD BE A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT. AND I KNOW IT WAS TALKED ABOUT BEFORE IN THE REV ABOUT ROADS FOR FAMILIES. I THINK IT KIND OF FITS INTO THAT MOLD. AND THEN YOU CAN SEE THE PROPOSED TOLL SITES AND THE STARS ON THE SCREEN. SO I'M GOING TO ZOOM INTO ANOTHER AREA. THIS IS JUST ZOOMING IN A LITTLE BIT TO THE EAST. THIS IS FROM STIRLING ROAD, REALLY FROM FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE TO SEMINOLE WAY, THE EXISTING ROADWAY THERE TODAY. THESE NUMBERS RELATE TO THE SAME NUMBERS WE LOOKED ON THE PREVIOUS SCREEN. IT JUST GIVES A LITTLE BETTER VIEW. NUMBER THREE IS THE WESTBOUND TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP. NUMBER FOUR IS THIS LOOP RAMP THAT YOU SEE GOING EASTBOUND ON STIRLING TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP ON THE TURNPIKE. NUMBER FIVE IS THE NORTHBOUND OFF RAMP. YOU'RE GETTING OFF TURNPIKE TO STIRLING ROAD. YOU'RE GOING NORTH, AND AT THE INTERSECTION, YOU WOULD HAVE TWO RIGHTS AND TWO LEFTS, AND THAT WOULD BE A NEW SIGNAL AT THAT AT THAT LOCATION. AND THEN NUMBER SIX, THIS IS THE NEW SEMINOLE WAY ACCESS THAT WAS TALKED ABOUT BEFORE AS A WAY TO ACCESS THAT, THAT FACILITY ON SEMINOLE WAY AND HELP ALLEVIATE TRAFFIC ON STATE ROAD SEVEN. SO THAT'S IN THAT VIEW. OKAY. SO ANOTHER VIEW, THIS HELPS SEE A LITTLE BIT BETTER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TURNPIKE LOOKING IN THIS DIRECTION. SO ON THIS SIDE, THIS IS LOOKING SOUTH. AND THE NUMBERS RELATE TO WHAT WE SAW BEFORE. SO SOUTHBOUND OFF RAMP NUMBER ONE TWO IS THE WESTBOUND SOUTHBOUND ON RAMP NUMBER THREE IS A WESTBOUND STIRLING TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP. NUMBER FOUR IS THE EASTBOUND STIRLING TO NORTHBOUND ON RAMP NUMBER FIVE. AS WE SAW BEFORE, THAT WAS NORTHBOUND OFF RAMP. AND THEN NUMBER SIX. THIS GIVES A LITTLE BETTER VIEW OF THE MOVEMENT OF PEOPLE GOING TO NUMBER SIX. SO YOU CAN SEE ALL THE DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS OF PEOPLE PEELING OFF THE TURNPIKE OFF RAMP THE SEMINOLE WAY, THEY CAN GET OFF OF STERLING ROAD. AND THIS IS REALLY TO HELP ALLEVIATE THAT REGIONAL TRAFFIC. AND THEN IT HELPS STATE ROUTE SEVEN AS WELL. AND THEN AS MENTIONED, THE STERLING ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT. SO AS WELL, BECAUSE OF THE INTERCHANGE, WE LOOKED AT THE INTERSECTION OF STERLING ROAD AND STATE ROAD SEVEN WHICH GETS QUITE BUSY AND SEEING WHAT WE CAN DO WITHIN CERTAIN CONSTRAINTS AND HOW WE CAN HELP THAT. SO A FEW THINGS REALLY THERE'S THREE MAIN HIGHLIGHTS. ONE IS ADDITIONAL EASTBOUND LEFT TURN LANE OF STATE ROAD SEVEN, YOU'RE GOING EAST. AND THEN ADDITIONALLY, A WESTBOUND LEFT TURN LANE OF STATE ROAD SEVEN, AND THEN NORTHBOUND RIGHT TURN LANE ON STATE ROAD SEVEN. ALL. ALL OTHER THREE LEGS OF THE INTERSECTION HAVE A RIGHT TURN LANE. THIS IS THE ONLY LEG ON THE SOUTH SIDE THAT DOESN'T HAVE A RIGHT TURN LANE, SO IT HELPS ALLEVIATE THAT TRAFFIC IN THERE. THE OTHER THING TO NOTE, AS I MENTIONED, THIS 12 FOOT SHARED USE PATH IS REALLY ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDE ON STERLING ROAD, WEST OF STATE ROAD SEVEN, RIGHT? SO THERE'S JUST A SIDEWALK THERE TODAY. IT WOULD REALLY END AT STATE ROAD SEVEN AND THEN TRANSITION TO THE EXISTING SIDEWALKS. AND THOSE BIKE LANES WOULD STAY AS THEY ARE ON STATE ROAD SEVEN. SO THIS IS A TYPICAL SECTION WITH EXISTING AND PROPOSED. [01:00:01] SO WHAT YOU SEE IS THE EXISTING TYPICAL SECTION OF THE ROADWAY ON THE BRIDGE OVER OVER TURNPIKE ON THE TOP LEFT. THIS IS LOOKING TO THE EAST. SO CURRENTLY THERE ARE THREE LANES IN EACH DIRECTION WITH A SIDEWALK ON THE SIDE AND AN ENCLOSED FENCE. I'M GOING TO KIND OF WALK THROUGH THE CHANGES THAT WE SEE ON THE BRIDGE. SO ON THE PROPOSED ON THE BOTTOM LEFT, YOU CAN SEE HIGHLIGHTED WE'RE PROPOSING AN ADDITIONAL EASTBOUND AND THAT SECTION REALLY TO HELP PEOPLE GET OFF THE TURNPIKE TO STATE ROAD SEVEN AND THEN ADJUSTING IT TO A 12 FOOT SHARED USE PATH. AND THEN YOU'D HAVE A BRIDGE FENCING ON THE OUTSIDE TO THE TURNPIKE, AND THEN ALSO WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THERE BE A CONCRETE BARRIER THAT WOULD SEPARATE, YOU KNOW, BICYCLISTS OR, OR PEDESTRIANS FROM THE TRAFFIC TO THE SHARED USE PATH. SO THIS HERE IS A TYPICAL SECTION ON STERLING ROAD JUST OFF THE BRIDGE. AND THIS WOULD BE REALLY FROM STATE ROAD SEVEN TO THE TURNPIKE. AND EXISTING UP AT THE TOP THE SAME, YOU HAVE THREE LANES IN EACH DIRECTION WITH A SIDEWALK. ON THE BOTTOM LEFT IS WHAT'S PROPOSED IN OUR CURRENT CONCEPT. SO IN THIS ONE, YOU HAVE THAT ADDITIONAL EASTBOUND LANE, AS I MENTIONED BEFORE ON THE BRIDGE. AND THEN YOU'D HAVE THE 12 FOOT SHARED USE PATH ON BOTH SIDES. SO WHILE THE BROWARD MPO RECEIVED 17 OR $18 MILLION GRANT AWARD FOR BUILDING EV WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY DOWN HERE AT THIS POINT, WE DON'T ACTUALLY EXPECT TO EVER SEE ANY OF THAT MONEY. THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAS ALSO TURNED DOWN MONEY TO PUT ON STATEWIDE EV THEY, YOU KNOW, THERE WAS MONEY TO, TO FUND KIND OF A BUILD OUT OF THE OVERALL SYSTEM ON THE MAJOR FACILITIES. AND THAT MONEY WAS TURNED BACK TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. SO THAT'S YOU KNOW, NO, NO JUDGMENT ON IT, BUT IT'S A DIFFERENT POLICY. IT'S A DIFFERENT ADMINISTRATION.
