AND THE THIRD ONE, WE ARE ADDING ONE PROJECT TO THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN THE BROWARD MPLS CORE PRODUCTS FOR MANY TIMES. TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IS ONE OF THE CORE PRODUCTS. AS ALWAYS, THE ROAD FORWARD REPORT IS AN ANNUAL ROUTINE PROCESS. SO TODAY WE ARE GOING TO REVIEW THE ROLL FORWARD REPORT. IN MARCH OR APRIL, THE BROWARD MPO RECEIVED TIP DOWNLOAD FROM FDOT. THE TIP DATABASE IS GENERATED FROM THE DRAFT ALTERNATIVE WORK PROGRAM BY FDOT. FROM HERE IT SPLITS INTO TWO PATHS. PATHS IN BLUE BROWARD MPO PREPARE THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM DOCUMENT AND THE BOARD APPROVES THE DOCUMENT IN JULY. THE PATH IS RIGHT. THE STATE APPROVES THE DRAFT TENTATIVE WORK PROGRAM ON JULY 1ST, [00:05:02] AFTER THE STATE APPROVES THE DRAFT TENTATIVE WORK PROGRAM. THE FDOT GENERATES ROLL FORWARD REPORT FOR EACH MPO. YOU MAY WONDER WHAT PROJECT IN THE ROLL FORWARD REPORT PROJECT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AUTHORIZED AND ENCUMBERED PRIOR TO JUNE 30TH, BUT WASN'T BECAUSE OF VARIOUS REASONS. THOSE PROJECTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY FORWARD IN THE WORK PROGRAM, BUT NOT AUTOMATICALLY ROLL FORWARD IN THE TIP TO MAKE SURE THOSE PROJECTS CONTINUE RECEIVING FUNDS. THEY HAVE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TIP, SO BOARD MPO REMAINED THE TIP TO INCLUDE THOSE PRODUCTS IN THE TIP. AFTER THE BOARD APPROVES THE ROLL FORWARD REPORT, THOSE PRODUCTS WILL MERGE INTO THE NEW TIP AND THE NEW TIP TAKES EFFECT ON OCTOBER 1ST. LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THE ROLL FORWARD REPORT FOR THIS YEAR. ESSENTIALLY WE DEVELOPED A SAFETY ACTION PLAN AND WE ESSENTIALLY 11 CORRIDORS BUBBLED UP OUT OF THAT PROCESS, RIGHT. PRIORITY CORRIDORS, WHICH COULD BE AMENDED INTO THE M, T, P AND THEN THE LAST PART OF THAT PART C IS BROWARD COUNTY TRANSIT PROJECTS THAT COULD BE AMENDED INTO THE MTP. SO I WILL BE DOING THE FIRST TWO PARTS. AND WE DO HAVE STAFF FROM DOT AND STAFF FROM THE MPO WHO WORKED ON THAT PROJECT TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT PART A AND B, AND THEN PART C WILL BE DONE BY MR. THESE FIVE PROJECTS HERE, THE FIRST TWO ARE CONSTRUCTION PHASES FOR THOSE PROJECTS ARE NOT FUNDED IN OUR TIP. IN ORDER TO HAVE PLANNING CONSISTENCY, WE NEED TO ESSENTIALLY REMOVE THAT PHASE FROM OUR MTP AS WELL. AGAIN, THE FIRST TWO ARE REMOVING THE CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION PHASES OF THOSE PROJECTS. PROJECT THREE IS GOOD NEWS. PROJECT FOUR IS GOOD NEWS. PROJECT THREE IS THE BROAD BOULEVARD TRUCK PARKING EXPANSION AT BROWARD BOULEVARD. ESSENTIALLY, THAT PROJECT WAS IN OUR ILLUSTRATIVE PLAN. THAT ILLUSTRATIVE PLAN ESSENTIALLY MEANS THAT IT WAS PARTIALLY FUNDED. IT WASN'T FULLY FUNDED. AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET A GRANT, I SHOULD SAY, BY OUR PARTNERS AT FDOT WORKED HARD TO GET A GRANT FOR THIS PROJECT, AND NOW IT'S FULLY FUNDED, SO IT NEEDS TO BE AMENDED INTO THE COST FEASIBLE PLAN OF THE PROJECT. NUMBER FOUR. AGAIN, ANOTHER PIECE OF GOOD NEWS. THIS PROJECT IS LOOKING AT STATE ROAD 84 AT THE FEC CORRIDOR. LOOKING AT THE CROSSING THERE. PD ANY PHASE WAS FUNDED BUT IT WAS FUNDED IN 4150 AND OUR PARTNERS AT FDOT WERE ABLE TO FUND IT AT A EARLIER. BUT IT WAS THREE TIMES BANDS EARLIER WHICH TRIGGERED AN MTP AMENDMENT. SO AGAIN, GOOD NEWS. AND THEN THE LAST ONE, PINES BOULEVARD AT I 75 PARK AND RIDE LOTS. THAT PROJECT IS BEING REMOVED FROM THE MCP BECAUSE IT'S, IT'S BEING CONSUMED INTO ANOTHER PROJECT, WHICH ALREADY IT'S ONGOING ALREADY. SO AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THESE PROJECTS SPECIFICALLY, WE DO HAVE STAFF FROM DOT THAT CAN ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS. JUST A LITTLE HISTORICAL NOTE, WE HAD A ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO NOW WE HAD A HEAVY RAINFALL FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND IT FLOODED THE PUBLIC PARKING AROUND THE, THE RAMPS FOR I-95 AT BROWARD. AND THOSE PUBLIC PARKING SPACES, SOME OF THEM ARE USED FOR TRI-RAIL PATRONS. I KNOW I WAS ONE OF THEM. I MANAGED TO SKIRT THE FLOODS AND PARK AT A A HIGH SIDE ON THE EDGE. AND THE TRAIN SERVICE WAS IN OPERATION THAT DAY DAY AFTER OR THE MORNING AFTER THE HEAVY RAINS OVERNIGHT. JUST REMEMBER THAT'S A HAZARDOUS AREA FOR MAJOR FLOODING AND STORMS. BUT IT'S ESSENTIALLY TWO BUCKETS OF MONEY IN THAT IN THAT PROGRAM, YOU HAVE A SYSTEM WHICH IS THE STATE SYSTEM AND OFF SYSTEM, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY OFF THE STATE SYSTEM. SO WHAT WE'LL BE DOING IN THE MEANTIME IS WORKING WITH OUR PARTNERS TO GET RESOLUTIONS OF SUPPORT BECAUSE AGAIN, ANY PROJECT THAT GOES INTO THE MTP HAS TO HAVE, YOU KNOW, PUBLIC SUPPORT IN RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FROM THE MUNICIPALITY THAT THAT THAT PROJECT IS IN IS SOMETHING THAT'S REQUIRED. SO BETWEEN NOW AND NOVEMBER 10TH, WE'LL BE WORKING TO, YOU KNOW, GET THOSE RESOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT AND TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH THOSE PROJECTS. SO HERE THEY ARE, 11 CORRIDORS OVER 20 MILES. AND IF ALL OF THOSE WERE IMPLEMENTED, WERE ESTIMATING THAT 10% OF TOTAL CASES. ESSENTIALLY WOULD BE ELIMINATED. SO THAT'S PEOPLE KILLED OR SERIOUS INJURIES. THE MAP SHOWS THE LOCATION OF THOSE PROJECTS. AND WE ALSO HAVE A TABLE THAT SHOWS THE LOCATION OF THOSE PROJECTS.
