THE GOAL IS TO ENHANCE ACCESS AND MOBILITY TO EDUCATION, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES. FOR TODAY, I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE LOW STRESS NETWORK, OUR PRIORITIZATION PROCESS, AND PROVIDE AN UPDATE FOR YOU GUYS ON THE FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS AND CONCEPTUAL DESIGN. WE'VE ALSO IDENTIFIED CANAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR FOR LOW STRESS FACILITIES. AND THEN THERE ARE SOME EXISTING FACILITIES THAT CAN BE RETROFITTED TO MEET THE LOW STRESS CRITERIA, AND AT THE TIME OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NETWORK, 1% OF THE NETWORK WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING THAT SOME OF IT IS COMPLETED TODAY, SUCH AS ATLANTIC BOULEVARD. [00:10:01] SO THIS IS JUST A SUMMARY OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROJECTS THAT ARE PROVIDED IN THE NETWORK. IT DOESN'T EQUAL 100 BECAUSE THERE IS CROSSOVER DEPENDING ON THE PROJECT AND THE FACILITY. BUT ESSENTIALLY WE'RE LOOKING AT NEW SIDE PATHS, WIDENING EXISTING SIDEWALKS TO SHARED USE OR URBAN SIDE SIDE PATH STANDARDS. THERE'S ALREADY A NUMBER OF PROJECTS THAT ARE PLANNED. SO RETROFITTING THEM TO ENSURE THAT THEY MEET THE LOW STRESS CRITERIA. WE'VE IDENTIFIED SOME NEW TRAILS AND EXTENDING EXISTING TRAILS TRAFFIC CALMING BIKE LANE MODIFICATIONS TO ENSURE THEY MEET THE LOW STRESS CRITERIA, WHICH IS TYPICALLY PROTECTED AND OR SEPARATED. ENHANCEMENTS TO EXISTING TRAILS AND GREENWAYS. FOR INSTANCE, THE GREENWAYS ARE LOW STRESS, THE CROSSINGS ARE NOT. SO HOW CAN WE MAKE THOSE CROSSINGS LOW STRESS SO THAT WE HAVE A CONTINUOUS LOW STRESS GREENWAY? AND THEN A FEW PROJECTS HAVE I BEEN HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR LANE NARROWING OR REPURPOSING. THERE'S A COUPLE OF BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED. AND I TALKED ABOUT THE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. SO WE IDENTIFIED THE NETWORK. AND THEN WE CAME UP WITH A CRITERIA FOR PRIORITIZATION. AND THIS CRITERIA WAS DEVELOPED AND REFINED WITH OUR TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP AND OUR STAKEHOLDERS. AND YOU CAN SEE ON THE SCREEN THERE 6 METRICS SAFETY, CONNECTIVITY, COMFORT, DEMOGRAPHIC ASSESSMENT, HEALTH AND DEMAND POTENTIAL. THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF POINTS WENT TO SAFETY. AND WHAT WE DID IS WE SELECTED 10 SEGMENTS WITH THE HELP OF OUR TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP. AND THEN THOSE 10 SEGMENTS WERE REVIEWED AND ANALYZED. WE PUT IT INTO A MATRIX. WE LOOKED AT THE VARIOUS ITEMS THAT YOU SEE ON THE SCREEN. AND THEN WE SELECTED 4 TO MOVE FORWARD INTO CONCEPTUAL DESIGN, WHICH WERE IN THE PROCESS OF DOING RIGHT NOW. SO OUR MASTER PLAN WILL ADDRESS SOME POLICY AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR E-BIKES, E-SCOOTERS. YOU KNOW, IDEALLY WE WOULD CREATE LIKE A NICE BIG 15 FOOT, 20 FOOT WALKWAY AND HAVE ZONES. OBVIOUSLY THAT'S POSSIBLE IN SOME LOCATIONS, VERY FEW. BUT YOU KNOW, RETROFITTING THE EXISTING NETWORK TO KIND OF ACCOMMODATE THE DIFFERENT MODES IS GOING TO BE A CHALLENGE, AND EACH COMMUNITY IS GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS, AND SOME OF THEM ARE GOING TO BE DIFFICULT DECISIONS. AND THEN WE'RE ALSO PROBABLY GOING TO COMBINE A MEETING TO DISCUSS THE ANDREWS AVENUE AND SISTRUNK CORRIDOR CROSSINGS, BECAUSE THEY'RE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. THEY'RE VERY INTERRELATED ISSUES THERE. WE MODIFIED THE LANGUAGE IN THE LETTER OF SUPPORT TO ACTUALLY KEEP CITIES HARMLESS FOR THE LOCAL MATCH. THEY MAY COME BACK AND ASK FOR LOCAL MATCH, BUT THE LETTER OF SUPPORT THAT YOU HAVE EXECUTED DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU TO PUT A LOCAL MATCH. I BASICALLY HAD THIS CONVERSATION IN ORLANDO WITH STATE DOT STAFF, AS WELL AS OTHER NPOS FROM AROUND THE STATE ON THAT CORRIDOR, THAT THERE'S NO WAY ON EARTH YOU'RE GOING TO GET $25 MILLION OUT OF OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO PAY FOR THESE IMPROVEMENTS, BECAUSE I CAN'T EVEN GET FIVE GRAND, SO DON'T EVEN START, YOU KNOW, DON'T GO THERE.
